of rehabilitation services
The Prince George’s County American Job Center Community Network partners with the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) to provide workforce development services to eligible job seekers with disabilities. DORS is an agency of the Maryland State Department of Education.
The DORS Prince George’s County Office of Field Services provides assistance preparing people with disabilities to go to work and helps them to stay on the job.
Rehabilitation Counselors provide or arrange for services that may include career counseling, assistive technology, vocational training and/or job placement assistance.

WHAT DOES DORS DO?
DORS helps people with physical, emotional, intellectual, developmental, sensory and learning disabilities go to work and keep their jobs by providing services such as career assessment and counseling, assistive technology, job training, higher education and job placement. DORS will assign a counselor who will talk with you about DORS services and find out if you are eligible for these services.
You are welcome bring a support person, such as a family member, friend or advocate, to this appointment and to any other meeting with DORS staff.
